Only on his second race in the Philippines, Sam Betten emerged victorious in the inaugural Regent 5150 Triathlon in a race that started in Hanjin Port and ended in Remy Field in Subic Bay Philippines. The 6'4 pro triathlete bested fellow Aussies Mitchell Kibby and Casey Munro with a time of 1:59:23. Betten stuck to his plan of swimming and biking closely with the leaders and just ran as hard as he could in the final stretch.
